Storage Units in Morgan Hill, CA

Q: What items am I not allowed to store in storage units in Morgan Hill, CA?

There are a number of items you cannot store at Butterfield Self Storage. You cannot store combustible materials because of the threat of them catching fire. These items include fireworks, fuel tanks, fertilizer, paint thinner, and so on. If it seems like it'''ll easily catch fire, avoid storing it. You also cannot store firearms. You cannot store living animals or plants. Do not treat a storage space as a replacement for a proper pet sitter. Not only are storage spaces not built for people or animals to live in them, but the food you leave out for your pets could also attract pests. Similarly, plant soil could attract pests as well. You cannot store food of any type including, but not limited to, canned foods, perishable foods, dry foods, or pet food for similar reasons. Food will attract pests and will cause an infestation in your storage space and spread to others. Lastly, you cannot store illegal items such as prohibited weapons, illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen items. If it'''s not legal to house it elsewhere, you cannot store it here.

Q: Do I need a reservation to rent a storage unit in Morgan Hill, CA?

You don'''t need a reservation to rent a storage space here at Butterfield Self Storage. However, a reservation does ensure that you'''ll be able to secure the exact space you need. If you spot a deal or low price for a certain space, you will need to reserve that space at that time to lock in that price. Otherwise, you can just complete the rental online, or give us a call and we will rent the unit over the phone whenever you'''re ready.

Q: What is the difference between indoor storage and drive up storage in Morgan Hill, CA?

We offer both indoor and drive up storage here at Butterfield Self Storage, and each comes with different advantages depending on how you plan to use them. The term indoor storage describes storage spaces that are found inside a building. These storage spaces provide more protection against the elements than drive up spaces because they'''re fully covered inside of a structure. Drive-up storage spaces are located along the exterior of the building so you can literally drive right up to them. These spaces allow you to easily unload and load your vehicle, making it a breeze to put stuff in, or take stuff out of your storage space. These are convenient spaces if you know you'''re going to store belongings that would be difficult to carry in and out of a building, especially when those buildings have multiple floors.

Q: What is the difference between indoor storage, drive up storage, and climate-controlled storage in Morgan Hill, CA?

We offer indoor storage, drive up storage, and climate-controlled storage here at Butterfield Self Storage. The term indoor storage describes storage spaces that are found inside a building. These storage spaces provide protection against the elements as they'''re fully covered. Drive-up storage spaces are located outside so you can literally drive right up to them. These spaces allow you to easily unload and load your vehicle, making it a breeze to put stuff in, or take stuff out of your storage space. These are convenient spaces if you know you'''re going to store belongings that would be difficult to carry in and out of a building, especially when those buildings have multiple floors. Climate-controlled spaces maintain the ambient temperature within them between 50 and 80 degrees and the humidity between 30% and 50%. These temperature and humidity levels are ideal for keeping your things in great condition. Climate-controlled spaces are typically found indoors but some locations do offer drive-up climate-controlled spaces as well.
